UK Starbucks fans, rejoice! You can now finally get your hands on the viral protein cold foam after its roaring success across the Atlantic.
The coffee giant launched the product in thousands of US and Canadian stores in September 2025, and it has now made its way to UK shores just in time for summer.
What is Protein Cold Foam?
Protein cold foam is a smooth, velvety layer that sits on top of your favourite drink, adding texture and flavour (and a crucial hit of protein) without overpowering whatever’s underneath.
Packing 15g of whey protein per serving, it comes in two flavours – Vanilla and Caramel – and has been crafted to complement Starbucks’ signature arabica beans.
Protein cold foam can be added to any drink on the menu, hot or iced, meaning you can upgrade your usual order without changing it entirely.

If you need a protein hit but don’t want to think about which flavour combo to go for, there are three brand-new cold foam drinks on the UK’s off-the-shelf menu:
- Iced Caramel Protein Americano: Starbucks’ signature espresso and water over ice, finished with a hint of caramel and topped with protein cold foam. A lower-calorie caffeine hit that lets the espresso do the talking.
- Iced Caramel Protein Latte: Rich espresso meets chilled milk and golden caramel. This is an indulgent drink topped with an airy layer of protein cold foam for an extra hit of creaminess.
- Iced Vanilla Protein Matcha Latte: Avoiding coffee? Then go for this smoother, gentler alternative featuring vibrant green tea, milk, and sugar-free vanilla syrup. It’s topped with protein cold foam for a more refreshing finish.
