Taste Testing the Creatime Protein Bar

I tried the Creatime protein bar to see if it’s actually worth adding to your snack stash.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always a bit suspicious of protein bars that promise too much.

Because yes, the numbers can look great on the wrapper, but if the texture’s off and the flavour isn’t there, I’m not going to be reaching for it again.

Creatime’s protein bar promises 15g of protein and 3g of creatine in one chocolate-coated bar, which is exactly the kind of thing that sounds great on paper.

But is it actually nice to eat?

I grabbed all the flavours to see if Creatime could actually pull off a protein bar with good macros, added creatine, and a taste I’d want to go back to.

What is the Creatime protein bar?

Creatime is an all-in-one protein and creatine bar, which is already a bit different from most of the protein bars you’ll find in the shops.

Each bar gives you 15g of protein and 3g of creatine, with low sugar and fewer than 145 calories.

The idea is pretty simple.

Instead of taking your creatine separately, or mixing up another drink when you’ve already had enough shakes for one day, Creatime puts the supplement into a chocolate-coated protein bar.

And honestly, that does make a lot of sense.

Creatine is one of those supplements that works best when you actually take it consistently, but remembering to take it every day can be annoying. A bar is easier. You just grab it, eat it, and get on with your day.

Which is all good in theory, but is it something you really do want to eat every day? Here are my thoughts on the Creatime protein bar.

The texture

The texture was the first thing I noticed about the Creatime protein bar , and I mean that in a good way.

It’s much lighter than I expected, with an almost doughy texture that makes it really easy to eat.

It’s soft without being mushy, and there’s just enough crunch to stop it all getting too samey.

The flavours

To make sure I really put Creatime to the test when it comes to flavour, I picked up the variety box, which comes with Salted Caramel, Cookie Crunch, Triple Choc, and Creamy Raspberry.

So here are my thoughts:

Salted Caramel is the safe bet in the best way. It’s sweet, a bit salty, and really easy to eat. If you usually go for caramel protein bars, you’ll probably like this one.

Cookie Crunch has a bit more going on texture-wise, which works well with the softer middle. It gives you a little bit more bite without turning into one of those rock-hard crunchy bars.

Triple Choc is the obvious one for chocolate fans. It’s rich, chocolatey, and does what you want it to do without becoming too much halfway through.

But Creamy Raspberry was the one that stood out most for me.

The raspberry cuts through the chocolate nicely, so it tastes a bit different from the usual protein bar flavours. It’s still sweet and chocolatey, but there’s enough fruitiness there to stop it being too heavy.

That was probably my favourite Creatime protein bar of the four, but I’d happily eat any of them again.

Does the Creatime protein bar actually taste good?

Yes, it does.

And not in a ‘good for a protein bar’ kind of way. In a ‘this is a genuinely tasty snack’ kind of way.

The flavours are rich without being sickly, the texture is light enough to make the bar easy to eat, and the chocolate coating makes the Creatime protein bar feel much more treat-like than a lot of other functional snacks.

Final thoughts

The Creatime protein bar is one of those products that sounds fantastic, but that has to pass the taste test if you’re actually going to have one every day.

And for me, it did.

The bars are light, soft, chocolate-coated, and easy to eat, with enough crunch to keep the texture interesting. They don’t have that dense, chewy protein bar thing going on, and the flavours are genuinely good.

Creamy Raspberry was my favourite, but Salted Caramel, Cookie Crunch, and Triple Choc all worked too.

With 15g of protein, 3g of creatine, low sugar, and fewer than 145 calories per bar, Creatime has definitely nailed the numbers.

But more importantly, it has made a protein and creatine bar that I’d actually want to eat again.
