Calling all CrossFit fans! If you’re looking for some ways to add some festive fun to your workouts then you should absolutely plan on turning one of your group sessions into a Christmas party this year.
You’ll have to save the drinks and party food for another time, but getting the gang together for some challenging, Christmas themed CrossFit games and WODs is an awesome way to celebrate the season.
So here are our top 5 CrossFit gym Christmas party ideas to help you get your sweat on:
1. Santa’s Sleigh Pull
Get your Santa on with some festive-themed sled pulls. Start off with a lighter load then add more ‘presents’ to the sled to up the ante.
2. 12 Days of Christmas
Take inspiration from the classic Christmas song and get everyone tackling a series of 12 exercises.
The twist is, you start by doing 1 of the first exercise, then you do 2 of the second exercise and 1 of the first, then 3 of the third, 2 of the second, and 1 of the first. Keep following that pattern until you’ve reached the 12th exercise.
You can play around with different exercise combos here, including things like burpees, push-ups, and squats.
3. Elf on the Shelf Plank Challenge

Hold a plank challenge and see who can stay still in the position for the longest.
Want to mix things up? Then bring in some plank variations like shoulder taps and rows.
4. Jingle Hell Kettlebell Challenge
Take on an AMRAP challenge with your favorite kettlebell moves, with a festive twist. Think along the lines of Jingle Bell Swings, Santa’s Carries, and taking the sack of gifts (AKA the kettlebell) Around The World!
5. Jump For Joy
Grab a jump rope and go back to your true Crossfit roots with an Annie. See who can complete it in the best time and crown them the Christmas Annie champion!
