A girl who’s now better known as “gym girl” went viral for posting a TikTok video exposing a ‘pervert’ in the gym and has received a huge backlash.
The online fitness community was sent into overdrive this week after the girl in question dubbed the bystander a ‘weirdo’ and a ‘piece of s***’ for looking over in her direction while she was filming herself doing hip thrusts.
She even inserted a ‘stare counter’ to emphasise every time he glanced in her direction.
The man in question then approached her and offered his help re-racking the plates after she was finished, which she swiftly declined.
After viewing the footage people responded in their thousands with polarising opinions on who was in the wrong. However, the general consensus was that the girl had unfairly exposed an innocent guy while he was training.
Huge influencers and internet commentators have had their say on the incident, with personalities such as Joey Swoll condemning her actions.
True Geordie also hit back at the controversial TikTok with a video of his own. Talking on his channel, he said: “When I first watched this video I thought, ‘there’s no doubt this girl is being harassed, this guy is going to come up and do some really bad s*** here.’
“You’re thinking wow this must be bad because this video has got a lot of views. No. As you’ll see she’s called him a stupid piece of s*** for a start. He’d glanced at her twice.
“It might have something to do with the fact she’s pointing a camera right at him without his consent, or that she’s muttering to herself like a lunatic.”
The video continued to say the man was ‘going to jail for staring at an underage 21-year-old’. In a state of stunned disbelief, True Geordie continued: “She’s so desperate to be a victim of anything, anything, that she’s making out that 21 is underage. This is nuts.
“Here’s the f****** problem. Being a victim on the internet has become such a cushy number that people are actively wanting to be a victim… You’re not a victim. I’m not saying she hasn’t been a victim in the past, but right here he is the victim.
“You’re making him out to be a predator, pointing a camera at him without his consent, you’re calling him names. This is horrendous behaviour.”
