With momentum building fast, GHOST Energy looks to solidify its UK presence
To the uninitiated, the excitement around GHOST Energy’s UK arrival might feel a little much. What’s so special about another can of caffeine?
For starters, it’s more than your standard jolt. GHOST’s mantra is “feel good energy” — a goal achieved through the inclusion of nootropics and essential vitamins in the sugar-free formula.
Launched in 2020 following the initial success of its supplement line, GHOST Energy very much led the charge as one of the first in a now rapidly developing performance energy category.
Though what’s inside the can is matched in importance by the brand’s global pull.
GHOST describes itself as the “world’s first lifestyle sports nutrition brand.”
The very name — and the accompanying catchphrase “be seen” — derives from a feeling of living life on the periphery, wanting to be heard and make an impact.

That approach, coupled with legendary flavour crossovers and activations, has captured the heart of the fitness community.
While GHOST Energy reached cult status in the States, UK fans were left watching from the sidelines.
As an American-founded brand, the question of when the cans would be making the trip across the pond became an almost daily ask.
So, when GHOST announced summer 2025 would finally spell the end of that wait, hype levels reached fever pitch.
Now, one week on from the official launch, we caught up with GHOST Lifestyle’s Head of UK Sales, Jon Hutchinson, to talk new flavour drops, glowing fan feedback, plans for further expansion, and a mega incoming retail reveal.
GHOST Energy’s Hot Drop Summer
GHOST Energy arrived on UK shores with a slightly tweaked formula. The 500ml cans feature 160mg of natural caffeine, 250mg of VitaCholine for focus, 1,000mg of Carnipure Carnitine, taurine, and 100% of four daily vitamins.
Blue Raspberry, long-standing favourite Cherry Limeade, the signature OG, and Warheads Sour Watermelon made up the four-piece launch menu.
But if there’s one thing GHOST is known for, it’s iconic flavours — and Hutchinson says there’s plenty more to come.
“We launched with 4 flavours but we’re definitely not stopping there,” he said. “We have a lot more in the pipeline but right now we’re just working through the initial launch phase and getting our route to market partners setup and operating.

“When it comes to online sales we’ll be launching on TikTok shop and Amazon with all four flavours within the next month or so which we’re super excited about.
“You will already be able to find Ghost Energy online via multiple retailers such as Nutristore, Pit Stop Nutrition, Protein Package, Protein Pick and Mix, Active Sports Nutrition and many others. More online retailers are being added daily at the moment.”
As for when fans will start to see GHOST Energy in chillers, Hutchinson shared news of an exciting update.
“When it comes to brick and mortar stores we have a major retail announcement coming in about 2 to 3 weeks,” he teased.
“We’ll be rolling out into convenience stores and forecourts over the next month, so watch this space.
“We’re also available in a large number of independently run sports nutrition stores and gyms across the country.”
One of those gyms is PureGym. Last week, GHOST Energy landed in the vending machines of more than 430 locations nationwide.
The mammoth chain was among the first to strike a landmark deal following GHOST’s arrival — and by all accounts, members are loving it.
“Our partnership with Pure Gym has exploded within the first week,” Hutchinson added.
“The UK head of vending and ancillary for PureGym told me today that Ghost Energy is performing phenomenally well across the estate during the first week of trading and has exceeded all expectations.”
Beyond the Can
GHOST Energy might have stolen plenty of headlines recently, but Hutchinson and co aren’t forgetting about the wider supplement range.
Last week, a deal that will see GHOST Whey and Vegan protein powders introduced to Bannatyne Health Clubs was made public.
The upmarket facilities are part of former Dragons’ Den star Duncan Bannatyne’s leisure empire. Members can expect to see the blends introduced to cafés from 1 August.
And Hutchinson expects more growth from that facet of the burgeoning UK operation, too.

“We also just announced a partnership with Bannatyne’s gyms where we’ll be providing our protein powders nationwide for their cafe shakes menu,” he continued.
“Our powder-based sports nutrition product range is really important to us, so it’s great to see that side of the business growing too.
“There’s lots more to come from Ghost in the UK for both our energy drinks and sports nutrition range. We really are just getting started!
“The feedback from UK consumers since we launched Ghost Energy has been incredible and we’re fired up to bring more innovation, more cool flavour profiles and more exciting products to consumers both in the UK and the EU.”
