Bob to Accompany Louis Alexander on World Record-Setting Run Through Australia’s Capitals

Modern-day adventurer Louis Alexander is mere days away from setting off on a quest to earn his third world record.

At just 25, he’s already built an expedition résumé that far outstrips his years. The daring Brit is the first person in history to run marathons on all seven continents and swim marathons in all seven seas.

That 633-day feat of endurance saw him traverse some of the harshest environments on Earth, including the Australian outback, Amazon rainforest, and Arctic Circle.

Alexander’s career as an adventurer started at 19, when he summited Mount Kilimanjaro in honour of his late grandfather, who had always dreamed of climbing to the roof of Africa.

Every exploration since has been in aid of dementia research — an organisation fighting the degenerative disease that gripped his grandfather for 17 years before he sadly passed.

For his latest challenge, Louis Alexander is gearing up to run eight consecutive marathons across all of Australia’s capitals in just eight days.

He’ll be joined by Bob — not a fellow adventurer, but the world’s first hard refillable body wash bar.

Boasting an all-encompassing system that combines pH-balanced soap with a handheld applicator, exfoliating bristles, a shower mount, and a travel-proof cap, Bob will be on hand to ensure Alexander stays fresh as he plods through over 330km of running.

Speaking from the Australian High Commission in London, he said: “Today, I’m announcing my next world record expedition.

“Beginning September 8, I’m going to attempt to become the first person to run eight marathons in all eight Australian capital cities, in eight consecutive days.

“That’s over 330km of running in just over a week. It’s over 6,000 miles of travel, and, of course, it’s a continent of contrast: different weather, different conditions, different environment.

“Up to 30 degrees in Darwin, to as low as three degrees down in Hobart. I’ll see you very soon for record number three.”

Bob x Louis Alexander: A World-First Partnership

Louis Alexander’s mission Down Under will see him raise money for Dementia Australia.

The disease is the second most prevalent cause of death in the nation, and Alexander has set his sights on raising $10,000 to help families impacted by it — much like his own.

His preparations, which started in January, have included training five days a week and forgoing social events to focus on dropping 15kg of bodyweight to be running-ready.

Aside from the obvious challenge of covering 330km in only eight days, Alexander faces logistical hurdles such as travelling between capital cities.

Bob’s World-First Body Wash System

In Bob, he has a trusty companion that’s more than built for the journey. Tested to last a minimum of 3,721 showers — and hand-luggage friendly — Bob is more than equipped to play its part in Alexander’s commendable exploits.

Louis Alexander will commence his marathon effort in Brisbane on September 8, before completing runs through Darwin, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, and Hobart over the following days.

His journey will end in Sydney on September 15, which coincides with the beginning of Australia’s Dementia Action Week.

If all goes well, he’ll be the first person to run eight marathons in all eight Australian capital cities in eight consecutive days — with the world’s first hard refillable body wash bar by his side.
