Reformer Pilates Classes Roll Out Across More of PureGym’s Estate

Reformer Pilates is now on offer at even more PureGym locations, with new studios in Glasgow, London, Nottingham and St Albans. Here’s what you need to know.

PureGym is expanding its Reformer Pilates offering to even more locations, and we’re all for it. After launching successful studios in Denmark, they’ve now added brand new Reformer Pilates spaces in London, Glasgow, Nottingham, St Albans, and Zurich.

It’s all part of their mission to bring more premium, boutique-style fitness options to members without the boutique price tag. Whether you’re a total beginner or already hooked on the reformer, these new classes are designed to give you that full-body burn with a serious focus on control, strength and mobility.

Reformer Pilates

There’s a reason Reformer Pilates has become such a go-to for people who want to train smarter. Using the Reformer machine – a sliding carriage with adjustable springs, straps and bars – the workout focuses on slow, controlled movements with just the right amount of resistance. It’s designed to help you build strength, improve flexibility, and move better overall.

Because the Reformer adds resistance to every rep, you end up working both major muscle groups and those smaller stabilising muscles that often get overlooked. It’s especially useful for improving posture and building the kind of core strength that supports everything else you do.

You don’t need to be super flexible or ultra experienced to feel the benefits either. The moves are simple but targeted, and they leave you feeling stronger, more balanced, and properly worked, all without the impact of a traditional weights session.

The PureGym Roll Out

Off the back of growing demand for Reformer Pilates, PureGym has just expanded its offering across even more of its gyms – news that they recently shared in an exciting LinkedIn update

Reformer Pilates classes are now available at four new UK locations: PureGym Glasgow (Bath Street), London (Moorgate), Nottingham (Beeston), and St Albans. There’s also a brand new studio open in Zurich, adding to the six already going strong in Denmark.

Each class follows a classic Reformer Pilates style, focused on slow, controlled movement to build strength, boost flexibility, and leave you feeling good from head to toe. Sessions are £6.99, and you don’t need to be an expert to jump in. Instructors walk you through how to use the Reformer bed, so it’s easy to get started. Just remember to take some grip socks with you, or grab a pair in the gym before the class kicks off.

Why You Need To Check It Out

Reformer Pilates is one of those sessions that leaves you feeling stronger, taller, and more balanced after every class. Thanks to the springs on the Reformer bed, you get to control the resistance for each movement, which means you can dial it up or down depending on how you’re feeling.

That resistance makes things more challenging than mat Pilates, but still really gentle on your joints.

The result is a full-body workout that builds strength, improves posture, boosts flexibility, and strengthens your core without the need for heavy weights or high-impact moves.

The slower pace and precise movements help activate muscles you probably don’t usually focus on, including stabilisers that support better balance and coordination.

Whether you’re looking to improve performance in other areas of training or just want a low-impact way to move more, Reformer Pilates has a lot to offer.

Final Thoughts

With Reformer Pilates now available at even more PureGym locations, it’s great to see the brand investing in fresh ways for people to train.

These new studios bring something a bit different to the usual gym routine, giving members the chance to try a more focused, full-body workout that’s both low-impact and seriously effective.

If you’re in Glasgow, London, Nottingham or St Albans, you can now book straight in and see what it’s all about. Whether you’re already into Pilates or completely new to it, these sessions are a great way to build strength, improve flexibility, and feel more in control of how your body moves.
