If you’re heading to the Arnold UK Expo from 27-29 March, then here’s some news you’re going to be very excited about: Samson Dauda is locked in, and his attendance has been confirmed.
Known throughout the industry as ‘The Lion’, the Nigerian‑British professional bodybuilder is a firm fan favourite, and his appearance at the event will be a major attraction for those visiting.
Who is Samson Dauda?
Widely regarded as one of the top athletes in the sport today, Samson was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on 11 March, 1986, and moved to the United Kingdom as a teenager.
He initially played rugby before transitioning to bodybuilding in 2014. He earned his IFBB Pro card just three years later in 2017 and made his professional debut in 2018.
Samson improved steadily, and in 2024, he became Mr Olympia, earning a record‑breaking prize and being named People’s Champion.
Dauda is known for his massive, balanced physique, which is largely down to his unusually high-volume training routine, designed for him by his wife and coach, Marlena Gustowska.
He’ll be appearing at the Arnold UK Expo for meet-and-greets on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March.

The 2026 Arnold Sports Festival UK will be a three‑day celebration of fitness, strength, and wellness, held at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Center.
