IFBB Pro Sam Sulek has joined Christian Guzman’s revival of 3D Energy Drinks as an official partner.
The deal, announced last week, will see the hugely popular YouTuber and king of pumps step in at board level.
Sulek has been on a hot run of form with brand deals of late. He recently linked up with Gymshark as a brand ambassador, completing the apparel giant’s “bodybuilding trifecta” alongside David Laid and Chris Bumstead.
RAW Nutrition then confirmed the Ohio-born muscleman as its latest coup in an ever-growing list of RAW athletes.
However, Sulek’s agreement with 3D will see him benefit from more than a discount code and a few public appearances.
As a partner in the energy drinks brand, Sulek has a seat at the table alongside Guzman and Dom Iacovone.
Guzman has cut him a slice of the pie, a share of the profits, and a major say in 3D’s direction as it continues its rapid resurgence.
“I’m so excited to have him (Sulek) on board as a partner for 3D,” Guzman said following the announcement.
“It’s going to be something really great, guys. I’m so grateful that Dom (Iacovone) was able to facilitate this partnership. It’s time to take 3D to the next level.”
Why Sam Sulek Has Joined 3D
By Guzman and Iacovone’s own admission, 3D hasn’t really tapped into the influencer market since relaunching with a cleaner recipe, fresh can design, and a mix of new and returning flavors in May.
As an influencer himself, Guzman has always been the face of the operation. In many ways, he is 3D Energy Drinks, and a large chunk of the brand’s customers would also be counted among his subscribers.
With 6.9 million followers on Instagram alone, Sam Sulek brings an almost unquantifiable number of fresh eyes to the business.
His involvement also beefs up 3D’s presence in the bodybuilding circuit.
Sulek, who earned his IFBB Pro card in February, will go on to compete in some of the sport’s most prestigious shows — likely with a can of 3D in hand backstage.
What’s Next For 3D?
Having just revealed its sixth flavor in Citrus Frost, Guzman and co. are gearing up for two nationwide launches.
Convenience store chain QuickTrip will be adding 3D to its chillers across America in the coming months, while a second major announcement is expected imminently.
In a recent vlog, Guzman also confirmed The Quality Group — which owns RAW Nutrition, BUM Energy, ESN, and More Nutrition — has shown serious interest in adding 3D to its portfolio.
If that comes to fruition, Sam Sulek might not be the only partner enjoying the fruits of 3D’s success.
