After a controversial buildup, the 2026 Enhanced Games will finally take place on May 24, 2026 at Resorts World Las Vegas.
Under close medical supervision, participants will be allowed – and encouraged – to use performance‑enhancing drugs to push the boundaries of human limits.
Founded by Aron D’Souza, the event has faced widespread condemnation from anti-doping bodies, with Travis Tygart, the Chief Executive of the United States Anti-Doping Agency, labelling it a “dangerous clown show”.
Despite ongoing criticism, numerous athletes have signed up to compete, and excitement continues to build for the event following the recent announcement of planned world-record deadlift attempts by Mitchell Hooper and Hafþór “Thor” Björnsson.

But aside from the deadlift giants, who else has the Enhanced Games attracted? Here are our pick of participating athletes to keep an eye on across track, swimming, and weightlifting.
Fred Kerley: Sprinter (United States)
Fred Kerley is a double-Olympic medalist and 2022 world champion in the 100m who has joined the Enhanced Games after a provisional suspension in traditional athletics.
With legal PBs of 9.76 and 19.76 seconds in the 100m and 200m respectively, Kerley will be aiming to beat Usain Bolt’s 9.58 second 100m world record. If he does, he’ll take home a prize of $1m.
Beatriz Pirón: Weightlifter (Dominican Republic)
Beatriz Pirón is a four‑time Olympian who will be on the weightlifting platform at the 2026 Enhanced Games.
She placed fourth at the 2016 Olympics in the 48 kg class, has won four Pan‑American Games titles, and earned a World Championships bronze medal in the snatch. Her experience and competitive fire are expected to bring major excitement in Las Vegas.
Ben Proud: Swimmer (Britain)
Ben Proud is a British sprint swimming star and one of the most accomplished male freestyle sprinters of his generation.
He won silver in the 50m freestyle at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and is a former world champion in both the 50m butterfly (2017) and 50 m freestyle (2022).
His career successes include multiple world, European, and Commonwealth titles, as well as British records.
In September 2025, Proud became the first British athlete to sign up for the event, which he said offers him a chance to pursue peak performance in a new setting and to “test the limits of human potential”.
