There are plenty of perks to life as an influencer, which is probably why it’s become a dream vocation for so many.
Beyond brand deals, midday gym sessions and total control over your schedule, the biggest draw is often the freedom to travel.
Irish YouTuber and all-round good guy Rob Lipsett makes full use of that lifestyle. When he’s not soaking up the sun at his Marbella villa, the ever-smiling muscleman is catching flights like Ubers.
Of all the places he’s trained and filmed, Dubai ranks firmly in his global top five. Here’s why the City of Gold keeps calling him back.
Why Rob Lipsett Loves Dubai
Rob’s grading criteria is based on the lifestyle he — and many other fitness-minded entrepreneurs — want to live:
- Top gyms
- Entrepreneurial community
- Great weather
- Beaches
- Day-to-day life
Needless to say, Dubai emphatically ticks every box. The city has become the unofficial health and fitness capital of the world in recent years, with influencers and athletes of all stripes relocating to the Middle East for a more active life.

Dubai has an almost uncanny ability to keep its finger on the pulse of what’s new and trending. Top gyms are strewn across every district, while niche additions like padel courts and reformer pilates studios complete a package few cities can rival.
The entrepreneurial community in Dubai is also globally famed, and Rob Lipsett is now very much a part of it.
Last year, he brought his protein-loaded Fuel Cakes to the Emirates, launching them across gyms and major distributors such as Puzzle Supps.
As for the rest of Rob’s list, the city’s reputation precedes it. Dubai is never short on sun, and its beaches boast some of the most iconic and photographed views around.
Rob Lipsett’s Top Five Locations
So, what other locations join Dubai on Rob Lipsett’s list of top places to set up shop?
Unsurprisingly, Marbella, where Rob spends most of the winter months, takes top spot. Dubai ranks a close second, followed by Bali, Miami, and Sydney.
He described Miami as “elite but insanely expensive”, while Sydney loses points for being too far from his native Ireland.
“There aren’t many places that tick all my boxes,” he wrote on social media. “These five are hard to beat if you care about fitness and climate.”
