Lucky Saint Debuts an Alcohol-Free Beer Enriched With Electrolytes

As the temperature gauge ramps up, plenty of people will be seizing their first opportunities of the year to soak up some much-needed sun in a nearby pub garden.

Thanks to Lucky Saint, even non-drinkers have the option of a crisp, refreshing pint shared with good company.

The brand wasn’t the first to adopt the concept of alcohol-free beer, but it was among the first to treat better-for-you alternatives with the same passion as full-blooded brewers.

Now, it’s rewriting the rules of what booze-free lager can be once again with a truly unique concept: beer enriched with electrolytes.

“Over seven years ago, it was revolutionary to brew an alcohol-free lager with the provenance and quality that we approached Lucky Saint with,” founder Luke Boase shared in an announcement.

“And you rarely found more than a bottle of Becks Blue on a menu. Since then, alcohol-free beer has come a long way and drinking habits have evolved.

“Beer remains the world’s most social drink, and now people want great taste with added benefits to fit their lifestyles, whether that’s a pint with friends at the pub, something reviving at lunch, or a beer that hydrates and supports recovery.

“So here we are stepping into a new testament.”

In what Lucky Saint is calling “beer reborn, again”, its signature Unfiltered Lager is now brewed with lime and mineral-rich sea salt.

Instead of the customary hangover, drinkers get three essential electrolytes – magnesium (57mg), potassium (305mg) and sodium (77mg) – plus a serving of vitamin C to support hydration and overall wellness.

Remaining true to Lucky Saint’s brewing values, its Lime & Sea Salt lager cans are 0.5% ABV, under 80 calories, low in sugar and brewed using natural ingredients.

“This is a fresh take on what alcohol-free beer can be,” Boase added. “A social ritual that answers the drinker’s conundrum, how to enjoy beer AND stay hydrated.”

Arriving in plenty of time for the peak summer months, Lucky Saint’s latest bolt of innovation sits at the intersection of two booming trends.

Sobriety is on the rise, with the latest data from the Health Survey for England revealing that almost a quarter (24%) of adults in England had not drunk alcohol in 2024, an increase from just under a fifth (19%) in 2022.

At the same time, the global electrolyte powder market is projected to almost double between now and 2034, climbing at a CAGR of 8.41% during the forecast period (Fortune Business Insights).

As performance bumps partying down the priority list, Lucky Saint’s fresh functional spin on lager looks well placed to make an impact.

Where Can You Find Lucky Saint’s Electrolyte-Enriched Lager

Multipacks of 12 and 24 330ml cans are already live on the brand’s website, priced at £24 and £46 respectively, or less with a subscription.

With summer on the horizon, don’t be surprised to see the hybrid make its way into bars, pubs, hotels and restaurants.
