Shortly after a fire ripped through Dubai’s world-famous Binous Gym, legendary trainer and founder Anis Binous vowed: “We will be back.”
Not even three months later, he’s already making good on that promise.
As he recently confirmed via social media, the comeback is well and truly underway. Builders are working around the clock in two shifts to ensure the esteemed fitness destination is ready for an October reopening.
If all goes to plan, that would mean the project is completed in time for the Binous Classic Muscle Show.

Widely regarded as Dubai’s premier bodybuilding gym, the original Binous Gym became the fitness playground of the stars, attracting athletes and influencers from around the world.
Featuring masses of equipment, multiple floors, recovery zones, restaurants and even a barber shop, the facility was a true oasis for those who enjoyed pumping iron.
Its closure was felt across Dubai’s fitness community and, indeed, around the globe. Building on that legacy, Binous has said the new gym will be “bigger and better” than ever before.
He’s also expanding the operation, with two new sites in the works.
Binous Gym Enters a New Era
The original Binous Gym in Al Quoz is returning. In a video posted to Instagram, Binous said he’s already ordered more than 200 machines “of the best quality”, along with 50 to 60 cardio machines.
They’ll fill the gym’s main training hall, which accounts for around 30% of the mammoth facility. On current projections, Binous expects the work to be completed by September, paving the way for a grand reopening in October.
In addition to the flagship, a second Binous Gym is planned for Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC). It’ll be housed across two floors of the Binghatti Royale, offering wraparound views of the city.

According to Mike “The Badass” Sommerfeld, Binous, who also owns the restaurant chain Binous Healthy Food, is building the biggest of the lot in Egypt.
More details are expected over the coming months as Binous Gym rises from the ashes in emphatic fashion.
The destruction of the original facility might have marked the end of an era for many members, but it looks set to usher in an exciting new chapter for one of Dubai’s most celebrated fitness institutions.
