Binous Gym Fire: Owner Vows “We Will Be Back”

Binous Gym Fire Sparks Promise to Rebuild One of Bodybuilding’s Great Institutions

Binous Gym has spoken out for the first time since a fire devastated the world-famous bodybuilding spot on Tuesday morning.

According to local reports, crews from Dubai Civil Defence were called to a blaze in the Al Quoz area at 3.45am on April 14, 2026.

The fire was brought under control, with no injuries reported, but not before it almost completely destroyed the iconic facility, often dubbed the Mecca of bodybuilding.

Images circulating on social media showed the catastrophic impact of the incident; parts of the roof had fallen in and rows of equipment were completely scorched.

The fitness community quickly rallied after news of the Binous Gym fire broke, with messages of support coming from all corners of the globe.

From bodybuilders to influencers and beyond, the world was unanimous in its desire to see the legendary institution restored to its former glory.

Speaking for the first time since the tragedy, owner and elite trainer Anis Binous confirmed that’s what he intends to do.

“Thank you everyone for the support,” he wrote to followers via the gym’s Instagram account.

“The gym may be gone, but we’re coming back stronger than ever. This is not the end, it’s a new beginning.

“Stay tuned. We will be back, inshallah.”

Binous Gym Fire: The Fitness World Reacts

Binous Gym is recognised globally for its bodybuilding prestige and has welcomed the finest athletes in strength sports through its doors over the years.

As something of a proving ground for elite physiques, it was the home of stars like Andrew Jacked, who recently picked up wins in both the UK and US Arnold Classic, the latter earning him a record-setting prize pot.

Filled with as much equipment as character, Anis Binous, known as the city’s ‘most exclusive personal trainer’, was very much part of the appeal.

Reacting to the Binous Gym fire, Jacked wrote: “(It’s a) sad, sad day but we will bounce back even stronger and better.”

The IFBB Pro, who first trained at the gym in 2019, added that both Anis and the gym’s staff are “doing good.”

In true Arnold Schwarzenegger fashion, he finished the post with the words, “We’ll be back.”

Irish influencer and entrepreneur, Rob Lipsett, added: “Sad to see Binous Gym gone (burned to the ground).

“One of the best gyms I’ve regularly trained at. Hope everyone is alright.”

Dubai Comes Together After Binous Gym Fire

Several gyms have reportedly stepped in to accommodate Binous’ members while the next steps are being determined.

Muscle Hut Dubai has offered free day passes for the next 48 hours for anyone impacted by the Binous Gym fire, while Generation Iron has extended a similar invitation.
