Taste Testing DASH’s Cucumber and Mint Flavoured Sparkling Water

We’ve been taste testing DASH’s Cucumber and Mint flavoured sparkling water to see if it’s as refreshing as it looks.

I’ve tried quite a few of the DASH flavours now, and one thing I really like about the range is that they all taste completely different.

Some are fruity and sweet, while others are sharper, more subtle, or a little more grown up.

The Cucumber and Mint flavour definitely sits in that last group.

It’s fresh, crisp, and a bit different from the sparkling waters I’d usually reach for, so I was really interested to give it a try.

And if you want to try it for yourself then move quickly because throughout July you can use our DASH Water discount code AF26JUL50 to get 50% off your order.

DASH Cucumber and Mint flavoured sparkling water

DASH makes sparkling water using real fruit and simple ingredients.

The Cucumber and Mint flavour is made with carbonated spring water, cucumber and mint extracts, natural flavourings, and citric acid.

That’s it.

There’s no sugar, sweetener, or calories in any of the cans, and the drink is also suitable for vegan, keto, and diabetes-friendly diets.

DASH also uses real, wonky cucumbers that might otherwise have gone to waste.

It’s a big part of what the brand does across its range, taking fruit and vegetables that aren’t quite the right shape or size for supermarket shelves and using them to flavour its drinks instead.

What does it taste like?

The first thing that hit me when I tried the Cucumber and Mint flavoured sparkling water was just how refreshing it is.

The cucumber flavour is there, but it’s quite subtle.

It doesn’t taste overly green or like someone has dropped half a salad into your drink.

Instead, it gives the sparkling water a really clean, fresh taste that works perfectly with the bubbles.

Then you get the mint coming through, which adds a slightly sharper, zingier edge.

I wasn’t sure whether the mint would be too strong, but it’s nicely balanced and doesn’t overpower the cucumber.

The whole thing is crisp and light, and a really refreshing alternative to the naturally sweet fruity flavours.

Perfect for hot weather

This is easily one of the most refreshing DASH flavours I’ve tried.

I had mine properly chilled straight from the fridge, and I honestly think that’s the best way to drink it.

It has that cool, almost spa-water taste you get from cucumber, but the bubbles and mint make it feel much more interesting.

It’s so good on a hot day, especially poured into a glass with ice and a few slices of cucumber.

You could also use this cucumber and mint flavoured sparkling water as a zero-sugar mixer when you want something that isn’t sweet or fruity.

DASH has its own cucumber and grapefruit spritz recipe, mixing the drink with grapefruit juice, ice, fresh cucumber, and an optional sprig of rosemary, which gives you an idea of how well it can work in a simple summer drink.

Our honest take

DASH’s Cucumber and Mint flavoured sparkling water won’t be the obvious choice for everyone.

It’s much more subtle than the fruitier flavours in the range, and you definitely need to like that fresh cucumber taste.

But if you want something crisp, refreshing, and unsweetened, it really works.

The cucumber is light, the mint adds a lovely bit of zing, and it tastes especially good when it’s properly cold.

I can see myself reaching for this one much more during the warmer months, either straight from the can or poured over ice when I want something a little more interesting than plain sparkling water.

A box of 12 cans normally costs £15.99, but you can use our DASH Water discount code AF26JUL50 to get 50% off throughout July.
