There’s no telling what David Protein will do next. Just days after doubling down on cod with the launch of a tinned fish line, the disruptor debuted its hotly-anticipated protein ice cream.
David Pints, as they’re formally known, were first teased back in March via mobile billboards seen cruising in the vicinity of Natural Products Expo West.
Following weeks of anticipation, they’ve finally arrived – and look to be well worth the wait. Here’s what you need to know about David Pints.
Introducing David Pints
Bouncing from protein bars to cod fillets and finally to protein ice cream seems like a slightly chaotic journey on paper, but there’s a common theme that knits them all together.
From day one, David has been bullish about having the best protein-to-calorie ratio in the game. While genuinely available to buy, the cod is merely another tactic to drive home that point.
That solid weighting is once again present in David Pints. Much like its hit protein bars, the macros in a pint of David’s protein ice cream break new ground.
Owing to the use of EPG – the innovative modified plant fat – the calories range from just 210 to 260 for an entire container.
To make matters even more impressive, there’s also 30g of complete protein per tub, sourced from a blend of whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate.

Across the four starting flavours – Vanilla Bean, Triple Chocolate, Cookie Dough and Triple Peanut Butter – carbohydrates range from 35g up to 50g, with only 2g or less of that sugar.
Similarly, fat stays impressively moderate, bouncing between 4-8g. Vanilla Bean is the lightest of the lot, clocking in at just 210 calories per tub, or 70 calories per recommended serving.
With stats like that, it’s little surprise that the initial drop sold out just 28 minutes after hitting the brand’s online store.
Across the collection, David Pints guarantee that a minimum of 51% of total calories come from protein, marking another remarkably strong debut.
If you want to try the frozen treats for yourself, packs of 6 are priced at $90 and available directly via David’s online store.
