GymNation Thailand set to launch

First-Ever GymNation Thailand Location to Open in Bangkok

After securing a $100 million cash injection from one of the world’s biggest asset managers, GymNation outlined plans to expand its operation beyond the Middle East.

That looks to be happening sooner than expected, with the first-ever GymNation Thailand location already on the horizon.

“From the Middle East to Southeast Asia,” GymNation wrote in an announcement.

“We built the region’s fastest-growing fitness brand by making world-class fitness affordable, accessible and fun for everyone.

“Now we’re bringing GymNation to Thailand, starting in Bangkok.”

Founded in 2018 as an accessible alternative to expensive wellness clubs, GymNation, often referred to as ‘The People’s Gym’, now has close to 50 locations and more than 200,000 members across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Indeed, its move into Thailand won’t stop further expansion in the region where it made its name. The brand is targeting 100+ locations in the GCC over the next three years, with a new regional HQ landing in Riyadh.

Elsewhere in Saudi Arabia, the fast-moving group recently cut the ribbon on two Al Faisaliyyah locations (men’s and ladies), marking its eighth and ninth gyms in Jeddah.

What to Expect From GymNation Thailand

The inaugural GymNation Thailand location isn’t expected to throw open its doors in the immediate future. The group is currently on the lookout for a general manager to spearhead its arrival in Bangkok.

Much like Dubai, where GymNation boasts its biggest presence, Thailand has a strong health and wellness scene and a large expat community.

As this is GymNation’s introduction to Southeast Asia, expect the brand to go all in on making it a showstopper.

Alongside top-quality strength and cardio equipment, recent launches have included Reformer Pilates studios, recovery zones, dedicated HYROX stations and plenty more.
