Huel Adds Trending Vanilla Matcha Flavour to Its Lite Complete Meal Shake

Vanilla Matcha, arguably the most sought-after flavour duo of the moment, has officially joined Huel’s Lite range.

The complete nutrition innovator – recently acquired by Danone for a reported €1bn – received an “overwhelmingly positive” response after debuting the combination in Japan.

That success spurred a UK release, with the trending flavour initially launching in Diet powder form. Now, Vanilla Matcha is available in RTD format, and it looks set to become a firm fan favourite. Here’s what you need to know.

Introducing Huel’s Vanilla Matcha Lite

Billed as a smoother, sweeter take on an otherwise earthy flavour profile, Huel’s Vanilla Matcha Lite promises a calorie-conscious, nutritionally complete meal.

Each ready-to-drink bottle contains 25g of plant protein, 6g of fibre, natural caffeine from green tea, 190 calories and Huel’s signature blend of 26 vitamins and minerals.

Essentially, it’s everything consumers have come to expect from Huel – just lighter.

Compared to the brand’s standard RTDs, which played a leading role in popularising the now-booming complete nutrition category, that represents a reduction of around 210 calories.

The new Vanilla Matcha flavour is available directly via Huel’s website, with cases of 12 bottles starting at £38 on subscription.

With summer fast approaching, and matcha menu items reportedly up 30.22% year on year, don’t be surprised to see this latest addition lining fridges at major retailers in the near future.
