Nearly two months after announcing the shock death of his fiancée, Dr Stephanie Buttermore, at the age of 36, Jeff Nippard has broken his social media silence with a touching tribute.
“Last week I spent time with Stephanie’s family and closest friends to celebrate her life and share memories with each other,” he wrote on Instagram beside a selection of photos featuring memories of Buttermore and time spent with her mother.
“When I think about Stephanie, I keep coming back to how loving and kind she was. She really made the world a better place.”
Much like Nippard, Buttermore held a deep interest in both science and fitness. She earned a PhD in pathology and cell biology with a focus on the “molecular mechanisms that drive ovarian cancer progression.”

Nippard has since posted a copy of her work on his Instagram, admitting, “It’s one of the first things that made me fall in love with her.”
He also praised how Buttermore “helped people feel less alone” while struggling with food and body image through her YouTube channel.
“Her journey helped so many people be more accepting of themselves, and I love her so much for doing that,” he added.
Jeff Nippard Thanks Fans for Their Heartfelt Messages
Nippard revealed he and Buttermore’s family have spent time building a backyard garden in her honour, featuring her favourite colour, purple.
He went on to thank fans for their heartfelt messages, saying the support has helped him cope with the tragic loss.
“Over the past few weeks, I read many of your messages, and the support has helped us all,” he continued.
“Stephanie’s mom loves hearing stories about the difference her daughter made. We talk almost every day and it’s been incredibly difficult but we’re making it together.”
“If you were a fan of Stephanie, then I’m a fan of you,” he concluded. “I hope she made your life better in some way. She made my life amazing and I’m so grateful for the time we had.”
Jeff Nippard and Stephanie Buttermore announced their engagement in October 2022. The pair’s romance began after Nippard sent Buttermore a DM on social media, “immediately” sparking a conversation.
They started Skyping for three to four hours every day before taking on a shoulder workout together as their first date. Buttermore sadly died just days after celebrating her 36th birthday on 25 February.
