Oner Active co-founder and Creative Director, Krissy Cela, has officially signed a 10-year lease for the brand’s first-ever physical store at 0 Bond Street in New York City.
Why Did Krissy Cela Choose NYC for the First-Ever Oner Active Store?
The choice of location will come as no surprise to anyone who has been following Oner’s growing Stateside presence.
The brand has already made its mark on New York through a series of activations – including a Walk Club and pop-up store – and has been working hard to build a loyal community and customer base in the Big Apple.
“NYC felt right,” Krissy Cela said in her announcement post on Instagram.”Our biggest city, the non-stop hustle; to the city that doesn’t sleep, what’s more fitting for us as a brand?”
Cela explained the signing caps off nearly a year of searching, during which she viewed and rejected multiple locations before landing on the right space.
Demolition and renovation are set to begin at the chosen site within four weeks, with Cela describing the store concept as something she has “poured a lot of love and consideration into.”
Her and brand’s commitment to the location has been confirmed with her signing a decade-long lease agreement.
Flagship Oner Active Store Looks Set to be the First of Many
Founded in 2020, Oner Active has soared to one of the fastest-growing women’s activewear brands in the world, with 100% year-on-year growth and a community of over 800,000.
Built on a mission to empower women through strength training, the brand was created by women, for women, and has maintained that ethos at every stage of its growth.
And the inaugural Oner Active store, it seems, is just the start of the brand’s next chapter. As Cela put it: “Buckle up, because this is the first store of many we have planned.”
