As the temperature gauge starts to climb, Red Bull has announced its latest seasonal flavour innovation.
Citrus Zest arrives as the hotly anticipated Red Bull Summer Edition for 2026, “bursting with the invigorating flavour” of Sudachi lime, a small, green, acidic citrus fruit originating from Japan.
Matching the brand’s promise of something “a little citrusy, a little zesty all with the unique taste of Red Bull”, it provides a fitting follow-up to the UK’s first-ever Spring Edition, Cherry Sakura, which launched in February.

The quick-fire double of Japanese flavours will also come as a pleasant surprise for hardened energy drink fans, many of whom have spent big money importing the region’s exclusive offerings.
The Austrian giant says it’s hoping to replicate the success of last year’s Red Bull Summer Edition White Peach, which proved to be one of 2025’s most successful drops across FMCG.
Summer also spells big business for the functional energy category and, as the sector continues to grow year on year, Red Bull will be hoping to retain its spot at the top of the tree.
Where to Buy the New Red Bull Summer Edition
Red Bull Summer Edition Citrus Zest will crop up in all the usual spots – convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants and petrol stations – but only for a limited time.
It’ll be available in single 250ml, 335ml and 473ml cans, with a choice of regular and sugar-free options, plus multipacks of four 250ml sugar-free cans.
