There’s no commodity in greater focus right now than focus itself.
With constant phone pings punctuating our days and differing priorities vying for headspace, our brains have almost as many tabs open as our laptops.
I’m certainly not immune to this epidemic. My to-do lists often sit and gather dust while I procrastinate about ticking anything off.
I knew I wasn’t alone in that particular vicious cycle, but what I didn’t quite appreciate was how deep the issue truly ran.
In many ways, I’d assumed that life’s high performers were somehow immune to the productivity pandemic; that, like Limitless, there was a drug they must have secretly squirrelled away to unlock greater brain capacity.
Or maybe I was just a lazy layabout who simply couldn’t concentrate. That was until Jeremy Lynch recently launched HP-1 — a new supplement aimed at unlocking deeper focus.
Jeremy is a man who’s been very much at the forefront of content creation for many years now. He boasts more than 50 million followers across various platforms, over 250 million monthly views, and multiple entrepreneurial interests.
So when HP-1 debuted late last year, I was equal parts relieved and intrigued.
Relieved to know that even big hitters sometimes struggle to stay present, and intrigued to find out whether HP-1 could genuinely be the answer to my dwindling focus.
With that in mind, here’s my honest review of HP-1.
What is HP-1?
HP-1 is the brainchild of Jeremy Lynch, Hamilton Bowler, and the legendary founder and CEO of Bio-Synergy, Daniel Herman.
It packs a science-backed formula featuring caffeine, creatine, and 11 synergistic ingredients into small yellow capsules, engineered to deliver elevated cognitive performance.

Despite Jeremy’s grounding in sports, HP-1 doesn’t solely play in the sports nutrition space.
Much like many of the entries we’ve seen in the relatively nascent focus and nootropics category, HP-1 has opened up its target audience to practically anyone with big goals yet limited time to achieve them.
Whether you’re chasing a promotion, building your own empire, deep into your winter training arc, or simply trying to navigate the noise of modern life, HP-1 promises to deliver clarity.
The Ingredients Powering HP-1
Before we get stuck into the nuts and bolts of my review, let’s take a closer look at what’s inside those eye-catching yellow capsules.
The formula itself was developed in collaboration with Herman, who, as we’ve already established, knows a thing or two about supplements.
As the owner and CEO of Bio-Synergy, one of the most awarded sports nutrition and supplement companies in the UK, he has 27 years’ worth of industry experience tucked under his belt.
That considered, it’s little surprise that Coventry University has already confirmed the efficacy of the formula, with the wheels in motion for a full peer-reviewed study.

Here’s what you’re getting from every two-capsule serving of HP-1, plus a little detail on why it’s been included:
- Creatine Monohydrate (1,000mg): Hailed for its ability to increase strength and power output, recent research also highlights its role in brain energy metabolism and cognitive performance, particularly under stress or fatigue.
- Caffeine (150 mg): One of the world’s most widely studied stimulants for energy, alertness, and performance. Blocks adenosine receptors, which helps reduce fatigue and increase alertness.
- L-Theanine (25 mg): An amino acid found naturally in green tea leaves; it can counteract the jittery effects of caffeine, enhancing what’s often described as “calm focus”.
- Choline (50 mg): A precursor to acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter involved in memory, attention, and neuromuscular function.
- Betaine HCl (50 mg): Also known as trimethylglycine, betaine supports hydration, cellular volume important for muscle and nerve performance, and methyl-based metabolic pathways.
- Iodine (25 µg): An essential trace element, critical for thyroid hormone production. Normal thyroid function underpins energy metabolism, mood, cognitive clarity, and overall metabolic rate.
- Bacopa monnieri (25 mg): Shown to have cognitive-enhancing potential via antioxidant, mitochondrial, and anti-inflammatory pathways.
- Ginkgo biloba (25 mg): May support cognitive endurance, especially under stress. Works in synergy with Bacopa Monnieri and L-Theanine as a trio of botanical nootropics.
- B Vitamins: Key in natural energy metabolism.
- Vitamin C & E: Powerful antioxidant partners that help protect neural tissue from oxidative stress and support performance under increased strain.
- Black Pepper (5 mg): Included to support the bioavailability of botanicals.
- Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5): Required for coenzyme A synthesis, which is critical in energy and neurotransmitter metabolism.
More information on all the ingredients is available via HP-1’s website. Jeremy and the team have come armed with the studies and receipts for everything included in the formula.
It’s also worth noting the capsules are vegan-friendly and Informed Sport certified, meaning they’re tested for banned substances and have the green light for athletes.
My Honest HP-1 Review
To keep this HP-1 review as clear and digestible as possible, I’ve broken my thoughts down into four sections:
- First Impressions & Formulation
- Ease of Use
- Results
- Value for Money
Without further ado, let’s dive in.
First Impressions & Formulation
Straight off the bat, HP-1 impressed me. Delivery was smooth, and the packaging gives this supplement a really premium feel.
My 30 servings arrived in a minimalist clear bag, which allowed those vibrant yellow capsules to pop. As for the capsules themselves, they give off a vibe somewhere between Limitless and The Matrix — just without the carnage.
These small details feel immaterial, but to me they matter. Regarding the formulation, there’s a really nice duality to HP-1.
Yes, it’s a focus supplement at its core. But if you, like me, also go to the gym and regularly play sports, there are ingredients that nicely cross the divide into physical performance benefits too.
Creatine already features in my daily supplement stack, so getting an extra 1,000mg via HP-1 helps push me closer to the optimal daily dose (between 3-5g).
The same can be said for practically every ingredient on the list, which, by the way, you’d pay a decent amount for individually.
Ease of Use
There’s not much to say here, other than HP-1 couldn’t be simpler to get down the hatch. No messing around with shakers or powders, just a simple gulp.
I’ve never had an issue swallowing capsules. If you have, I’d suggest that, in this instance, the payoff is worth it (spoiler alert).
Either first thing in the morning to blast away brain fog or just before a big work block, HP-1 is effortless to work into your daily routine.
Results
No matter how sleek the packaging or impressive the founder, what truly matters is the results. In other words, does HP-1 hit the brief of sharpening focus?
Short answer? Yes. Long answer? An emphatic yes.
Despite delivering the ingredients via capsules, which tend to take slightly longer than drinks to kick in, the lift-off with HP-1 is almost immediate.
We’re talking maybe 15 minutes max before you start feeling the fog clearing. At 150mg, you definitely know about the caffeine injection, though it’s by no means chaotic.
The dosage feels like the sweet spot, and with L-Theanine acting as a counterweight, it’s a smooth, controlled lift — as opposed to the shaky aftermath of slurping too many coffees.
My alertness and focus ramped up smoothly and, most crucially, stayed there. There was no sudden crash or grinding halt.
Instead, things tapered down nicely in time for me to switch off in the evening. I found myself trialling HP-1 in different settings.
At work? Full focus. Before the gym? I felt locked in. Before football? My awareness was next level.
These capsules are the real deal, and I have to take my hat off to Jeremy and the team. It would have been easy for him to launch a sub-par supplement.
Given the size of his fanbase, it would have sold regardless. However, with HP-1, he’s brought the right expertise onboard to create something that genuinely solves a problem, and that’s what the best brands and products do.
The final compliment I’ll pay HP-1 is that I took two capsules right before writing this review to help me dial in. You could call that a full-circle moment.
Value for Money
Following on from what you’ve just read, you could safely assume that I believe HP-1 represents solid value for money — and you’d be correct.
Not just because it does what it promises on the tin — emphatically, I might add — but because if you were to try and replicate this stack using coffee and standalone supplements, one of two things would happen:
- You wouldn’t achieve the desired outcome (focus)
- You’d spend a lot more money forming the same synergy
With prices starting at £34.99 for a one-month supply — or less for bulk purchases or subscriptions — you can’t really quibble.
If you’re in dire need of a dose of focus, head to HP-1’s website and try it for yourself today.
