What You Need to Know About Patrick Mahomes-Backed Throne Sport Coffee

Formulated for people with active lifestyles – from athletes to busy professionals looking for a caffeine boost with extra perks – Throne Sport Coffee’s range of canned cold brews and lattes is fast gaining traction in the beverage market.

Here’s what you need to know about the brand famously backed by Patrick Mahomes.

Supported by big names

Throne Sport Coffee was founded in 2024 by former BODYARMOR marketing lead and beverage industry expert Michael Fedele.

And since then, it’s gained the attention of a number of familiar faces.

Backed by Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes as its number two investor, the brand is also partnered with Peloton instructor Alex Toussaint and NBA trainer Chris Brickley.

Bolstered by recent funding

Throne Sport Coffee is now entering a major growth phase across the Big Apple following a successful $10 million funding round.

Fedele recently announced that the brand would be working with Big Geyser Inc. to roll out Throne Sport Coffee’s functional products to stores throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, and Westchester, NYC.

Throne Sport Coffee: What’s the deal?

All of Throne Sport Coffee’s products begin as high-quality Arabica beans sourced from Central and South America.

They are then blended into two distinct canned coffee ranges: the Premium Charged Latte and the Premium Charged Cold Brew.

The lattes come in a variety of flavours, including French Vanilla and Salted Caramel, but don’t carry the heavy sugar and calorie load of many ready-to-drink coffees.

In fact, their sugar content is about 40% lower than many of the brand’s competitors.

These lattes combine coffee with ultrafiltered lactose-free milk, creating a smooth finish while still delivering about 150mg of natural caffeine, 10g of protein, and branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) – leucine, isoleucine, and valine – all in a 140-calorie can.

And the cold brews are equally impressive. Coming in at between 25-50 calories per can, depending on the flavor, these dairy-free brews also deliver 150mg of natural caffeine, plus 100% of your recommended daily allowance of B-vitamins.

Both the lattes and the cold brews are NSF Certified for Sport, meaning they’re rigorously tested to ensure they don’t contain any banned substances or performance enhancers.

Where can I buy Throne Sport Coffee?

You can buy the full range of products directly from the Throne Sport Coffee website.

The Cold Brew and Latte lines are sold in 12‑packs of 11‑oz cans, with prices around $36 per pack – about $3 per can.

Smaller 4‑packs are available for roughly $15, making it easy to sample multiple flavours or grab a single favourite.

You can also pick up the cans in a number of retailers, including Whole Foods Market, Casey’s, and Jacksons – and NYC residents will soon be able to get their hands on Throne’s protein-boosted coffee across the city.
