3 Facts About American Gladiators Star Kailey ‘Hurricane’ Latimer

Kailey Latimer will be hoping to whip up a storm as she enters the arena as ‘Hurricane’ in Prime Video’s reboot of the iconic American Gladiators.

The 32-year-old from Durham, North Carolina, stands 5’11” and arrives on the show with one of the most decorated sporting CVs of the whole roster.

1) She’s a Former NWA World Women’s Champion

In the world of professional wrestling, Kailey ‘Hurricane’ Latimer competes under the name ‘Kamille’ – and she’s got a seriously impressive record that will make her a fierce (and probably feared) Gladiator.

She held the NWA World Women’s Championship for 813 days before losing it to Kenzie Paige in 2023, and was named Pro Wrestler of the Year by the Women’s Wrestling Hall of Fame that same year.

Hurricane has since signed with All Elite Wrestling, where she continues to compete at the highest level.

2) She’s a Multi-Sport Athlete

Before professional wrestling, Hurricane received a scholarship to play Division I softball at Campbell University.

She was also a member of the Atlanta Steam in the Legends Football League, making her one of the few people to have competed in both collegiate softball and arena football.

Hurricane has also flexed her muscles on stage: she’s a former competitive bodybuilder, having won the NPC Daytona Beach Classic Bodybuilding Championship in 2020.

3) She’s a Screen Actress

Away from sport, Hurricane has made her mark on the big screen, playing June Byers in Queen of the Ring – a biopic about wrestling pioneer Mildred Burke.
