UK Fans Finally Get Release Date for This Year’s GHOST x Sour Strips Collab
GHOST is known for its epic flavour crossovers, and its annual link-up with Sour Strips is arguably the pick of the bunch.
Since 2023, Maxx Chewning’s candy brand has lent GHOST its Rainbow flavour to inject a splash of colour across various supplements.
GHOST Hydration, Energy, Intra, Legend, and Pump got a super sour twist last year. This time around, the legendary lifestyle brand shuffled the pack and announced a surprise addition: GHOST Clear Whey.
The top-rated protein powder was joined by GHOST BCAA — another new entrant — alongside the returning Legend pre-workout and Energy in Sour Strips Rainbow.
While Rainbow GHOST Energy was touted as a US-only release, the remaining three supplements were due to make their way to the UK.
Dropped Stateside in September, fans here in Old Blighty have been patiently waiting for an official release date ever since.
That news has now arrived, courtesy of Sour Strips founder Maxx Chewning.
“United Kingdom, what’s up,” he said on Instagram. “It’s your boy Maxx. We’ve got some exciting news.
“You’ve been waiting on it, here it is: GHOST x Sour Strips Clear Whey coming at you; GHOST x Sour Strips Legend coming at you; GHOST x Sour Strips BCAA coming at you…
“We’re sorry for the wait but it’s finally time.”
The three GHOST x Sour Strips products are scheduled to land on Wednesday, 19th November at 6pm GMT for a limited time only.
With 25g of protein, just 1g of carbs, and 100 calories per 35g scoop, Rainbow GHOST Clear Whey is undoubtedly the standout of this year’s menu.
While sweet flavours are the norm, it’s rare to see candy-inspired varieties enter the otherwise chocolate-dominated protein space.
GHOST Clear Whey only became a permanent part of the line-up in May, offering a lighter alternative to traditional milky proteins with Blue Raspberry, Strawberry Watermelon, and Orange Cream flavours.
Sour Strips Rainbow will temporarily join that fruity roster, and now we know when.
Despite GHOST debuting its cult-favourite energy drink in the UK this summer, the tweaked recipe means it misses out on this occasion.
That’s not to say fans won’t see the GHOST x Sour Strips collab in cans of feel-good energy moving forwards. But this release might have come just slightly too soon.
