Kyle Massi broke down in tears after being announced as a joint winner of the Gymshark66 Challenge.
The budding online coach and content creator is now the newest Gymshark athlete, alongside fellow victor Sophie Reid.
Gymshark CEO and founder Ben Francis surprised the lucky duo with a personal Teams call to break the good news – and let’s just say, things got emotional.
Kyle Massi: The Tearjerking Reveal
Kyle Massi could barely get his words out through the tears, but he just about managed to pull a sentence together to thank his entrepreneurial idol.
“This is so special to me,” he said. “Like, yesterday I wasn’t a Gymshark athlete, you know.
“Mr Ben Francis, thank you so much for this opportunity. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.”
He later shared an emotional post with his 11,000 Instagram followers, writing: “This has been my biggest dream since I first created my fitness account in 2019.
“I have been working and praying for this moment ever since. This is a true underdog story. Just a kid from NJ (New Jersey) with a huge heart and a burning desire to help others believe in themselves.

“I don’t have the biggest following. I’m not the strongest. I’m not the best. But I have HEART, and people can FEEL THAT!”
When Gymshark announced the challenge, Kyle Massi boldly added the words ‘In 2025, I am a Gymshark athlete’ to his bio.
Just over three months later, his wild dream has become a reality.
“I fully believed in myself no matter how hard times got,” he added. “I believed in myself so much that I had this post MADE before I even found out!
“To anyone out there who has a dream – GO FOR IT. PASSION GOES PLACES. YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO. I BELIEVE IN YOU.
“Thank you to Gymshark for giving me this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Thank you to the best supporters in the world for helping make this possible. I am ready to be who I was destined to be.”
What Is the Gymshark66 Challenge?
The Gymshark66 Challenge is a 66-day pledge designed to help millions of fitness lovers worldwide build better habits.
Based on the principle that it takes an average of 66 days to form a new habit, the challenge tasks participants with choosing three positive daily habits across mind, nutrition, and movement – and sticking to them every single day.
These could include drinking four litres of water, going on a 20-minute run, or cutting out caffeine after midday.
A free-to-use app helps people select their habits and track progress, with the ultimate goal of creating life-changing routines that last far beyond the 66 days.
At the end of the challenge, a panel of judges selects two individuals who best embody its spirit. These winners are crowned Gymshark66 champions – and earn the prestigious title of Gymshark athlete.
This year, it was Kyle Massi and Sophie Reid’s time to shine.
