Cellular Soda Steps Into the Spotlight as Electrolyte Demand Skyrockets Across the UK
Electrolytes have continued to dominate wellness conversations in 2025, with an increasing number of people parting with serious cash to meet their daily hydration goals.
The hashtag #loadedwater has swept across the internet, amassing 214 million total views on TikTok.
Boots, the UK’s leading health, beauty and wellness retailer, confirmed electrolyte-related searches were up a whopping 755% year-on-year in its annual report.
One product in the category was sold every 14 seconds this summer, it added.
Indeed, that trend is backed by figures from Fortune Business Insights, which estimates the global electrolyte drinks market size will grow from $39.93 billion in 2025 to $69.14 billion by 2032.
That would signal a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.16% during the forecast period.
All of this makes for happy reading for Cellular Soda, a functional newcomer looking to add its own refreshing spin to daily electrolyte supplementation.

Launched at the start of November, the brand describes itself as the “UK’s first lifestyle-led electrolyte soda.”
The grab-and-go cans feature a total of 476mg of electrolytes: 300mg of sodium, 120mg of potassium, and 56mg of magnesium.
Wrapped up in an easy-going sparkling formula that’s free from sugar, artificial ingredients and gluten — and completely vegan — Cellular Soda isn’t targeting any one niche.
Instead, the challenger sees its soda as a universal solution for anyone wanting to improve their hydration — without mixing powders or dealing with salty aftertastes.
Whether it’s replacing what’s lost through sweat after a tough run or fighting off mid-afternoon brain fog at work, Cellular Soda promises to restore balance.
The purposeful tins debut in two summer-adjacent flavours — Lime Sea Salt and Elderflower Peach — both sweetened with monk fruit, natural flavourings and stevia, and both enriched with added vitamins.

Vitamin C (80mg) and Vitamin B12 (2.5mg) join the mix, aiming to double down on the benefits of staying hydrated by delivering immune support and natural energy production.
Returning just 4g of carbs and 17 calories per 100ml, they’re noticeably lighter than many isotonic drinks on the market.
A 12-pack of either flavour can be picked up directly through Cellular Soda’s website, priced at £24 for a one-time purchase or £19.20 with a subscription.
