It appears that Conor McGregor is coming for the energy drink belt.
The two-weight UFC champion, who has already found success in the beverage market with Proper No. Twelve Whiskey and Forged Irish Stout, is now shifting his attention from partying to performance.
MAC Energy marks his latest venture, with “The Notorious” taking a far more advanced approach to formulation than many may have expected.
Here’s what you need to know about the soon-to-launch cans.
MAC Energy Makes Its Walkout
Rather than playing it safe with the standard mix of caffeine, taurine and vitamins, McGregor’s MAC Energy packs some surprise punches.
Each serving features 2,000mg of GoBHB® Active Ketones and 250mg of the increasingly popular nootropic Cognizin® Citicoline.
Together, the patented duo promises long-lasting support for focus, cognitive performance, energy and metabolism.
Rounding out the sugar-free formula is 200mg of PurCaf® Natural Caffeine, placing it in line with current heavyweights such as Ghost Energy, C4 and Celsius.
Six flavours are lined up for the cans, which are expected to debut in July: Orange Creamsicle, Macberry Lemonade, Proper Punch, Honey Cream Soda, Blackbeary Lychee and Forbidden Green Apple.
McGregor’s star power and global fame will prove invaluable as he attempts a takedown of the category’s major players.
MAC Energy steps into a market that’s more crowded than ever, though it looks like McGregor and co. are more than ready for the fight.
