Pumpkin Spice Joins the David Protein Bar Line-Up for Fall
Noisy newcomer David has given its top-rated protein bar a seasonal facelift with a limited-edition Pumpkin Spice flavor.
The unpredictable challenger brand had only just debuted this time last year — hard to believe considering all that’s happened since.
From launching wild-caught Pacific cod fillets to ruffling feathers with its acquisition of EPG maker Epogee, we weren’t quite sure what to expect from David this fall.
Nevertheless, it has joined a host of other brands in unveiling a traditional Halloween flavor. The Pumpkin Spice David Protein Bar is the brand’s first new addition since Red Velvet Cake some four months back.

It features the same unmatched 75% protein-to-calorie ratio, packing 28g of the muscle-building macronutrient and just 150 calories per bar.
That protein system combines milk protein isolate, collagen, whey protein concentrate, and egg white — collectively offering all nine essential amino acids plus added beauty benefits.
The carb content is moderate at 12g per bar, though none of that is sugar. Instead, the David Protein Bar blends natural and artificial flavors for sweetness and binding.
Total fat content sits at just 2g, thanks to the use of EPG alongside coconut oil, cocoa butter, and palm oil.

The David Protein Bar is co-owned by Peter Rahal and Zach Ranen.
Rahal was also the co-founder of RXBAR — a fellow protein snack brand sold to Kellogg’s for $600 million back in 2017.
By all accounts, he’s already gone one better with David. The disruptive operator is valued at $725 million and recently closed a Series A funding round that raised $75 million.
The Pumpkin Spice David Protein Bar will be available in boxes of 12 for a more-than-reasonable $39 via the brand’s website. David also says it’s hitting stores “soon.”
