The Wait’s Almost Over: Gymshark Onyx Collection Relaunch Date Confirmed
Mark your calendars, set your alarms, and dry-scoop as much pre-workout as you need to stay dialled in — Gymshark Onyx is getting its second chance.
The original launch was nothing short of chaos — bots crashed the website, cleared out the stock, and forced the brand to slam the brakes while bogus orders were cancelled.
What was meant to be a celebration of Gymshark’s most exclusive line emerging from the shadows after a five-year hiatus quickly descended into bedlam.
Fans were left hopelessly refreshing their screens for hours, and the limited stock that did release in Gymshark’s London stores drew people from as far as Moscow, queuing overnight in the hope of getting their hands on it.
Frantic footage from the in-store drop showed Onyx-hungry shoppers literally grasping at hangers to grab whatever they could.
The influencer-led hype, gold-dust-level exclusivity, and bot wrecking ball created the perfect storm — and it erupted like nothing we’ve seen before.
In the meantime, the only crumb of comfort fans had was that the online launch would be returning “soon.”
Relative silence followed — until the update everyone had been waiting for.
The Gymshark Onyx Collection is back for take two — and this time, it’s personal.
When Is the Gymshark Onyx Collection (Re)Dropping?
Gymshark has leaned heavily into comic book vibes for the fifth iteration of Onyx, with campaign imagery straight out of Gotham and the DC Multiverse.
So it’s no surprise to see the re-release teased with an animated David Laid starring as the brand’s musclebound hero.
Issue One: Return of the Launch.
The second stab at sharing the Gymshark Onyx Collection with the world will take place on May 15 at 7pm BST — same time, fresh chance.

Gymshark vs bots: the sequel is coming. Though it’s not yet clear what (if anything) has been done to stop botters from spoiling the fun a second time.
Some fans suggested a raffle or lottery system to give real supporters a fair shot at copping a piece.
It’s fair to assume Gymshark hasn’t spent all this time simply cancelling orders — and that significant effort has gone into fortifying defences against those looking to cash in on resale.
What Is the Gymshark Onyx Collection?
The Gymshark Onyx Collection is the brand’s most sought-after line. Think superhero-style compression tops with muscle-hugging fits, Spidey-style panelling, and tech that makes you feel like the main protagonist mid-set.
Previous editions were ultra-limited — some resold for upwards of £500 on eBay, Vinted, and Depop.
This latest drop includes short-sleeve, long-sleeve, and tank versions — all crafted with thicker material, raised rubber branding, and razor-sharp panel detailing.
Available in Onyx Grey, Carmine Red, and the returning icon Brand Blue, the range is made to move — and built to sell out, fast.
The score is currently 1–0 to the bots. Can Gymshark find a leveller? That remains to be seen.
