JD Gyms Celebrates Record Results As It Opens 100th Club

There’s been plenty of reason to celebrate at JD Gyms HQ lately. The fast-growing chain, operating under the same umbrella as the retail giant, has confirmed record financial performance for fiscal year 2025.

Pre-tax profit climbed to £37.9 million — an all-time high — fuelled by a 21% increase in overall revenue.

The group recorded a rise of £21.3 million for the year ending 1st February, pushing total turnover to £122.1 million.

That success, it says, has been driven by continued club reinvestment and a shift towards a 24/7 model, encouraging more members than ever to join.

At the time of writing, its community stands at 572,000 members and counting.

The majority of JD Gyms’ growing portfolio now offers round-the-clock access, with new clubs continually being added to its fleet.

In what marked another seminal moment for the brand, JD Gyms recently made it a century by opening a club in Enfield.

Launched on 11th November, the Enfield location not only marked JD Gyms’ 100th site, but also its first organic opening inside the M25 — a key step in its UK expansion plans.

Alun Peacock, CEO of JD Gyms, said: “We are delighted to have delivered another stellar performance, as our commitment to offering our members best-in-class gym experiences and exceptional value for money drove record underlying profit and revenue.

“Since opening our first gym in Hull in 2014, we have remained focused on exceeding member expectations.

“Our ongoing investment into opening multiple new sites across the UK, refurbishing our existing gyms with the latest premium equipment, upgrading facilities and converting the majority of our gyms to 24-hour operations, has all contributed towards these outstanding results.”

What’s Next For JD Gyms?

With memberships starting from £21.99 per month, JD Gyms remains laser-focused on offering members premium yet affordable spaces to move their bodies.

A further 10-15 new gyms are expected to open in 2026, as the brand continues its upward trajectory. Visit JD Gyms’ website to find your nearest location.
