Extra Tips
Tip 1: Make sure you log on before the deadline to select your meals. If you forget to log on, you will get a random selection of meals. Or if you like, you can just let your box be a surprise. I have opted for the random assortment before, and I got a risotto meal and a tray bake- I had never made these before, so it was great to learn to make totally new dishes.
Tip 2: Try select meals with a range of cooking times. I like to choose 3 with a 25–30 minute cooking time and 2 with a 45-50 minute cooking time. This really helps if your timetable is prone to changing or you simply want to spend less time cooking in the evening!
Portion Size
Whilst this is a subjective area, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes. I have always been full and very satisfied with every meal from HelloFresh.
Favourite Meals
The Pork and Cheesy Mash Pie with Green Beans. This is my absolute favourite meal. It is delicious, full of flavour and with 2307KJ (551 Kcal), and 34g protein its perfect for my macros too. The other portion if you live alone is great in a lunchbox for lunch the next day too! Another two favourite’s (as pictured) are the Pork Meatballs in Cajun Tomato Sauce with Cheesy Mash and roasted Broccoli (2386Kj or 570Kcal and 36.4g protein) and the Sweet Potato, Ginger & Garlic Chicken Stew with Lime, and Spinach (2341Kj or 559Kcal and 35.6g protein). Delicious!!
